The new GoodBarber Takes Care service
As a GoodBarber user you might already be familiar with the GoodBarber Takes Care option. With this service, GoodBarber takes over the submission process of your beautiful app, using your own developer credentials.

What’s the purpose of GoodBarber Takes Care?

Before we answer that question we’d like to stress the fact that it remains entirely possible to submit your app yourself. We do provide guided tutorials for both the submission of your iOS app and Android app, directly from the back office of your project. No changes here ;)

Back to the GoodBarber Takes Care service! In a nutshell, GBTC means our team will be submitting your iOS and / or Android app for you, using the Apple developer account you have set up and / or your Google Play publisher account. It does come in handy if you aren’t tech savvy and you want to make sure the submission of your app goes smoothly, if you’re just looking to save time and don’t want to be bothered with the submission process, or yet again, if you don’t own a Mac computer, a requirement to submit your iOS app to the App Store.

What’s new with GoodBarber Takes Care?

The popularity of GBTC has been fastly increasing, as a result, to maintain an outstanding quality of service, we’ve decided to introduce a credits based system. How does it work? First, the price remains unchanged, 50 € (or $50 depending on your location), which still covers the initial submission of your app to the stores (the App Store and the Play Store). Only difference is, this fee now unlocks 10 credits which you are free to use for the submission of your iOS app, Android app, or both - with 1 credit being equal to the submission of 1 version of your app.

Example :
You purchase 10 credits.
You request the submission of the version iOS 1.0 of your app. As soon as your app is live on the App Store, 1 credit is deducted.
You now have 9 credits left. You then request the submission of the version iOS 1.1 of your app. As soon as your app is live on the App Store, 1 credit is deducted.
You now have 8 credits left. You then request the submission of the version Android 1.0 of your app. As soon as your app is live on the Play Store, 1 credit is deducted.
You have 7 credits left.

**Please note that with the reseller plan, the GB Takes Care option is purchased on a per-app basis, meaning that the 10 credits can be used only for the submission and resubmissions of one app, not across multiple apps.

If you consider that most of the updates you can make from the back office of your app do not require that you re-compile and resubmit your app to the stores (those that appear in green), with $50 worth of credits, you are all set for over a year (only the changes which appear in grey, in your back office, require that you actually use a credit).

Besides, to engage and surprise users, 3 or 4 substantial app updates are sufficient, to introduce new features for instance. As for bug fixes, don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. In the event that a bug fixed on our end should require that you submit your app again to the stores, you will be granted a free credit, to rebuild and submit the new version of your app.

What if I already registered for GoodBarber Takes Care?

If you have registered for the GoodBarber Takes Care option before October 24, 2016, as of today (October 24, 2016) you will notice that you have been granted 20 free credits. On average, 20 credits will get you two and a half years worth of submissions without needing to purchase additional ones. We’ve sent an email your way which recaps all this information. You can also reach out, should you have questions about the new version of the service, we’ll be happy to answer them.

Thanks for the attention GoodBarbers and... happy DIY!
