As you know, part of the team went to Italy for the big students contest ! They just came back and after 3 days, 3 cities, 571 kilometers, 2 universities, 3 presentations, almost 23 hours in the transportations, we’re going to tell you everything! Let’s start at the beginning!

Hi there ! My name is Méryl and I just joined the GoodBarber’s team. Graduated from an Advertising and Communication school in Paris named ISCOM, I got a job at Kassius’s agency (WPP group) after my final internship. I was Digital Project Manager in this agency during one year and a half. After this job, I decided to realise my dream and go to the american west coast to learn english, discover California and see the Silicon Valley ;)

Hey Italian Students! The GoodBarber team comes to meet you next week, to present our great summer internship recruitment program :) We'll host a big contest in Florence on Monday May 20, and we'll meet students of Napoli area on Tuesday May 21 and Wednesday May 22. Native of Quenza, a small village in southern Corsica, I decided to join the GoodBarber Beautiful Team, to be a part of the Android side of the project.   Trained at ENSEA (Cergy) in electronics engineering, I decided to start my career with GoodBarber in order to specialize myself on Google's mobile platform.   For the time being, I'm quickly acquiring the basics of native apps development. In a few days, I will be ready to start working on my first piece of code on GoodBarber for Android. I am eagger to join the team actually working on it. Time has come to create Beautiful Apps for Android too :)

All the GoodBarber team was thrilled Wednesday morning when we brought the On'R award back at CampusPlex in Ajaccio.   Again, everybody thanks Philippe & Frédéric from Le Radio show!   You'll see that GoodBarber will be soon the best tool ever to create Beautiful Apps for radio stations :)

Yesterday, we had the suprise to discover that we was "nominés" for the On'R awards, in the "Innovative Service" category.   We won it this morning !   We would like to thank very much Philippe Chapot , Frédéric Brulhatour and the On'R awards' jury at Le Radio show . It's a great encouragement.   We came to this show to discover the radio world, and to imagine new features for GoodBarber.   We have now a big, big to-do list, and you will soon hear about it :)

Great news today. The first iPhone app powered by the Beautiful Apps Engine is available in the App Store. This the app of WMaker, our mother company.  This is just the beginning. More to come in a few days.

In recent months, GoodBarber has been working closely with Xtone, a company from Tokyo that specializes in the design, development, content operation, and content managing systems for the web and mobiles. Xtone and its sister company Gaps Mobile use GoodBarber to launch many Japanese companies’ mobile apps.

On Thursday, July 5th, we look forward to seeing you in Paris for GoodBarber Café. This is an opportunity to meet face-to-face and to discuss mobiles while having breakfast.

This summer, we are launching a road show to meet with our current and potential users. Follow the hashtag #GoodBarberSummerTour2012 on Instagram and Twitter throughout the summer. About a month ago, we sent more than 500 GoodBarber magnets with thank you postcards signed by the entire team to 12 different countries, on 4 continents, in the Atlantic (Caribbean) and Pacific (Polynesia). The target: our user community. Here’s a summary of the operation stages with no less than a month and a half for preparation: card design and production, sign each card by every team member (it’s not an easy task), purchase stamps for 3 different destinations (France, Europe, rest of the world), manual preparation of envelopes, and shipping.

Some of you have noticed that something was wrong yesterday, Sunday, January 29th. We experienced a temporary system failure. Last week, we conducted changes to our server architecture in order to replace some of the material. Some of the hard drives that we installed were unfortunately defective and caused a system breakdown. Four new Intel 600 Go SSD (5 year guarantee) were simultaneously lost Sunday at 4:00 p.m. The system can support a loss of two disks at a time. This failure has had little or no effect on existing customers, but it has led to the loss of all subscriptions since our last system backup. As a result, the accounts for subscriptions placed after Friday at 1:55 p.m. have been lost. The same goes for certain changes to existing accounts. In addition to GoodBarber, we host two other products: a CMS and a videosite platform . We guarantee 99.9% availability for both. These two products account for nearly 200 million monthly page views for just over 2,500 clients. These numbers imply a strong and secure system architecture. We run routine security audits, and data loss is not a customary occurrence… We’re aware of the potential impact that an event of this magnitude could have on you. We would greatly appreciate it if you went through the registration process again. We are here to help anytime via customer support.

For 2012, the entire GoodBarber team would like to wish you peace and good health (pace è salute), as we say here in Corsica.
