Back on the Island!

Hi GoodBarbers, My name is Jiann, and I am the new digital project manager in the GoodBarber team. Originally from Corsica, I did my studies in France, but came back to the island to be a part of its exciting growth. I speak French and English, and I understand Corsican and German. I have a Masters in Digital Marketing that I got at Sup de Pub in Paris (part of the Insec group). I have worked for communication agencies (Tribu, Plan.net), as well as for enterprises and government organizations. I have worked a lot in project management, but also in web design, ergonomics, and in front-end.  Being passionate about all things related to digital, I saw joining GoodBarber as a great opportunity to put my skills to use in a dynamic and innovative company. I am interested in all types of new technology, in the endless possibilities it brings, and in our rapidly evolving society. Before becoming part of this team, I was a communications advisor for many SME's where I helped them to grow and improve their digital strategies. Outside of work, I am a big fan of Bayern Munich and of AC Ajaccio. I am also passionate about magic, music, and I love to read (mainly Fantasy and SciFi).  I am very happy to be here at GoodBarber, and I'm excited to see what we are going to accomplish together! See you soon!

Bruno Langlois / Pikes Peak 2015 - Results

The famous Pikes Peak race that we have talking about recently finally took place yesterday, and the GoodBarber team is very pleased with the results. Our friend Bruno Langlois came in 3rd place with a time of 10:19:738. Even if he didn't match his big win from two years ago, he still impressed us on his Kawasaki (factory bike, needless to say!)

#MIDEM 2015

MIDEM 2015 has come to an end...we've seen and heard a lot over the past four days! Between conferences, contests, meeting artists, producers, and other members of the industry, I must say that very little rest was involved! But overall it was very beneficial for GoodBarber, as we were able to immerse ourselves in the music world and gain a full understanding of industry's progression, its challenges, and most importantly, its needs.

As for Mougli's users, very soon they will be able able to offer a best-in class mobile experience to their customers. More info about this acquisition can be found in our Press & Media page.

A New Globetrotter has Joined the Beautiful GB Crew

Hey GoodBarbers, My name is Vanessa and I just started this week as the new Country Manager for Germany, Switzerland and Austria. Originally, I am from Hungary, but have spent almost my whole life in the Black Forest in the south of Germany. Besides my two native languages, German and Hungarian, I learned English, French and Latin. Currently, I am studying International Business Management with concentrations in Marketing and French. During my studies, I worked for two years as the Marketing Manager in a small German company and I had the chance to gain a lot of work experience. To improve my language proficiencies and marketing knowledge and to meet new people from all over the world, I decided to do my internship in Ajaccio at GoodBarber. I have already been to Corsica twice and I really enjoyed the island, so it is a great opportunity for me to work and live on this «Île de Beauté».  In my free time, I am passionate about motor sport, travelling, volleyball, HipHop/R&B music and dogs.  I am looking forward to working in an international and dynamic team and enjoying the Corsican way of life!

What is a girl from Vicenza doing in Corsica?!

Hey GoodBarbers, My name is Silvia; I am the new country manager who has just landed in Ajaccio to take care of the Italian market. I was born in a small village near Vincenza (not far from Venice) where I spent my childhood daydreaming. As soon as I had the chance, I started travelling and spending time living in different cities. I spent the past two years in Paris, which I love everything about..the little back alleys and beautiful perfumes will always be close to my heart! However, I'm not afraid of change, and I can't wait to discover the magnificent views in Corsica. Between Paris and Bologna, I did a Bachelors in Communications and a Masters in Film. For the past couple of years I have worked in several fields: theatre film production, public relations at communication agencies, event planning for social networks, as well as in journalism.  After having covered the full spectrum of the Communications field, I fell in love with digital. I worked at an e-commerce website for almost a year, and now I'm ready for a new challenge! In my free time I like to lose myself in a book, discover everything around me, take little trips, and write  :)

A New Girl on the Team

Hi GoodBarbers !   My name is Muriel , and I'm the new French Country Manager of the Marketing Team. Coming from Ajaccio, I always wanted to stay in my native region of Corsica, which is very important for me. I wanted to show people that there is no need te leave the island to succeed in school or in our professional life. I'm not trying to say that being open to the world is a bad thing (I myself decided to leave Corsica for a 4 month internship in Italy, in the Camogli area), but I wanted to prove that Corsica could offer a lot of good educational and professional opportunities. Therefore, I studied at the University of Corsica, in Corte. I had the great opportunity to be a part of the first class of the Master in Management Science, with a specialization in Marketing, at the Institute of Business Administration of Corsica. After my studies, I really wanted to find a young, dynamic and innovative firm,  compared to the local business environment... That's why, when I found a job offer at GoodBarber, I didn't hesitate, I immediately applied, and here I am ! As you have understood, I will be in charge of the French language market, but it's my first day so I still have a lot of stuff to learn... ! Outside of work, I like to go out and have a good time with my friends and family, but I also enjoy strolling in my little attic appartment, playing guitar, and drinking liters of tea...   See you soon !

Hey Miss DJ... Turn GoodBarber Up!

Olá, I'm Catarina Crespo , I've been living in Lisbon and I am the new Country Manager of the Portuguese and Brazilian markets.  I come from a country of great sailors to discover the most beautiful mediterranean island: Corsica. I have a master in Public Relations and Communications and I've worked for the last 5 years in Portugal as a Digital and Social Media Manager of leader brands. I've followed the boom of brands in social media were likes, shares, tweets and views became my daily goals.  I consider myself a creative, curious and entrepreneurial person; Once I've made my own music program and I'm still managing other projects. I'm a big fan of traveling, music, documentaries and I am a DJ.  I just landed in this small French paradise and I'm really surprised by the landscapes, French culture and the gastronomy: “c'est magnifique”.   I believe that this experience will be as good as GoodBarber is for it's clients.  Well, let's find out ;)

A new Latin Breeze is Blowing in the Offices of GoodBarber

Hello GoodBarbers! I am Laura Mas Martín , the new member of GoodBarber’s marketing team. In the next months I will be in charge of the Latin American and Spanish markets, as I was born in the latter country. After finishing my degree and internship in Journalism in Madrid, an international scholarship became my passport to India, in whose capital city I lived for a year. There, I worked in a communications department in addition to travelling throughout the whole country. Once the Asian experience was concluded, it’s been a Mediterranean island, quite close to the one in which I was born and raised –Mallorca-, the location of my new professional experience: Corsica, GoodBarber’s headquarters. About myself, I can highlight that I wish to become a citizen of the world. Moreover, I should not forget to mention I love reading books as well as watching good films. In conclusion, I will be the next Spanish helper and guide to make sure you create your most Beautiful Apps.

What happened during the 2014 Web Summit?

Hey GoodBarbers,  We just came back from Dublin, where we participated in this year's Web Summit . Lots of things happened! Too many, probably, for one single article. So here are some photos and the experiences of our team. Enjoy!

The Beginning of a New Adventure

Hello GoodBarbers, My name is Lola and I've just joined the marketing team. I'm originally from Brussels, and I've just arrived in Ajaccio. After a high school diploma in photography, I finished my degree in communications. A desire to work with new technologies, to gain new experiences and work within a growing organization all brought me to CampusPlex. After leaving the office, I like to eat iced cream, read a good book facing the sea, listening to music or having a good time with my friends. I'm so excited about discovering Corsica: the people, the landscapes, the Mediterranean Sea, cheeses and sausages... A new adventure has begun for me with the GoodBarber team... and the first week has been great!

GoodBarber says "Marhaba"! مرحبا بكل القراء العرب

Hello Everyone, My name is Safa Amari and I am from Tunisia. I speak three languages: Arabic (my native language), French and English. I like music, traveling, sports, reading, cooking…. I am very interested in information technology, marketing, management and human resources. I hold a Master's degree in Computer Science with a specialization in Information and Internet Systems from the University of Corsica. At the moment I am studying at the IAE (business school) of Corsica to obtain a master's in Management, with a specialization in International Business in the southern Mediterranean. So, when I found out that GoodBarber was looking for someone to work on the Arab market, I applied immediately for this job as it really interests me, and here I am!  I will be working with the GoodBarber team as an intern for 6 months, in order to help Arabic customers create their Beautiful Apps - and of course I'll do my very best to serve the Arabic market! See you, Safa

Ice bucket challenge by the GB Crew

Hi GoodBarbers,    Our nomination for the #Icebucketchallenge is for all of you! We had a lot of fun organizing and shooting the video and cleaning everything after this cold shower :)   But behind all this fun, there is an important cause: the ALS foundation has launched this viral challenge to collect money for research against ALS.   It would be great if you would make a video like us, but the most important thing is to make the donation, no matter how much you want or you can donate, it will definitely be a step closer! ;)   We wish you a very nice weekend!   Bye bye

GoodBarber's Musical Chairs

In a company like GoodBarber, it isn't always easy to know what going on behind all of the brightly lit computer screens and big servers. Our interactions and exchanges with clients take place mainly through email or chats, which almost entirely hides the human element of our company, even though of course we have a heart at least as big as our servers... Today I want to talk about something a bit different from the usual subjects of this blog - so for once I won't be speaking about technology or apps. I want to talk about our team and how we've managed to gain strength and cohesion thanks to a "game".
Erik Rossen, Friday 6 June 2014

It's time to work hard, play hard!!

My name is Erik Rossen and I've just joined GoodBarbers marketing team to work on the English-speaking world. I'm German-American and I speak English, German and also French since I've been living in France for over three years now. I'll soon be finishing my master’s degree, but for the time being I'm looking forward to this real-world break from university... I was motivated to choose this job because I'm confident I'll gain invaluable experience in a fast-paced industry and I wanted to challenge myself in a young, growing business. I believe that that the digital economy will only continue to grow in the future and it was something I wanted to see from the inside, too. In my free time I enjoy sports and the outdoors, and while "work hard, play hard" may be good advice in general, I don't think playing hard should mean being stressed after work... and so I won't deny that for me a part of the attraction of coming here was to have a welcome break after the sardine-tin subway commutes and grey skies of the city...

The routine of a Country Manager

The problem with routines is that in the end, you tend to be absorbed by them and you end up going through your days without knowing what you are doing.   When I started working here at GoodBarber, my whole routine had been turned upside down, my schedule and daily tasks had changed and so I had to find another way to live my life that would fit better in my new reality.
